A freezone is a limited liability company which is admitted into the freezone of Aruba. Thus it must comply not only with the code of commerce in regards with its incorporation procedure, but also with the Freezone 2000 Act.

A freezone company reports to the Freezone Aruba N.V. (FZA)

The statutuary name of such a limited liability company must include the words Free zone or free zone or in Dutch vrije zone. A free zone N.V. is only allowed limited local sales. in the case of a free zone only registered shares are allowed. All freezones in Aruba are regulated by Freezone Aruba N.V.
