Sole Propriety Business
A sole propriety business (Dutch: eenmanszaak) is a legal form that is not regulated by law. A sole propriety business is not a legal entity. The means with which the business are conducted belong to one person, there is no strict division between business and private capital and all income from the sole propriety business is directly taxed in the private income tax.
Registration
Since a sole propriety business is not a legal entity there is no incorporation by notarial deed. but there is a legal obligation to be registered with the registry held by the Chamber of Commerce. For the registration of a sole propriety business the requirements of the Chamber of Commerce and the legal requirements of the trade register ordinance must be complied with.
